One image can tell more than a thousand words.
The digital artworks by Martijn Hage are the latest proof of this old
saying. In an attempt to catch the feeling, one might use words like spatial,
atmospheric, surrealistic and magic realism.
But words
Digital artist Martijn Hage creates his own 'virtual nature': imaginary
worlds, which he conceives, forms and visualises in full freedom, trying
to stimulate your senses by re-shaping the evolution.
The irony of contradictions is often a source of inspiration for Martijn
Hage. Icons and symbols from earth, culture, religion and technology are
being 'metamorphed' into timeless compositions and symbolic events, showing
different dimensions.
Three-dimensional computer techniques offer great detail and superb colour
and contrast. The brilliant digital prints on canvas make Martijn Hage's
worlds really come alive. Words cannot describe
